GOD CALLS HIS PEOPLE TO WORSHIP
It is God Himself who calls His people to worship.
We come praising him, confessing our sins and the one true faith.

*Call to Worship  1 Chronicles 29:10b-13

"Blessed are you, O LORD, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.

*Prayer of Invocation

*Hymn of Praise
No. 92  A Mighty Fortress Is Our God

*Reading of the Law   Mark 12:29-31

Jesus answered,"The most important is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

Prayer of Confession and Assurance of Pardon

Leader: Hear us O God, most holy and most merciful, as we pray(quietly, then aloud together)

Congregation: Gracious God, with contrite hearts we bow before you. We acknowledge our sin to you. We cry to you for your mercies that are new every morning. We reach to clutch the hem of our Savior’s robe. Look upon us and see Him in our place. Show us the beauty of your grace towards us this day that we might be full of grace towards those who are made in your image. We continually thank you for the love that you have poured out on us in your Son, Christ Jesus. In His name we pray, Amen.

Leader: And for those who by faith are united with Christ, hear his promise:

And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing of the one to whom God counts righteousness apart from works: "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin." - Romans 4:5-8

GOD SPEAKS TO HIS PEOPLE THROUGH HIS WORD
