Application for Praying Your Emotions: Anger
In Sunday’s sermon we learned how to consider anger that is ordered by love and anger that is disordered by disordered loves. We also learned how to handle and heal anger in prayer. Here are a couple of questions to consider:
- What kind of anger are you experiencing in your life, ordered or disordered?
- In your disordered anger what is it that you are demanding, have to have to be happy, that you’re not getting, but in your anger you’re demanding others or your situations give you?
- How can you call out to God in trust for him to give you grace as he reveals himself and what he has done and will do for you in Christ?
Here are some more Scriptures to consider regarding anger in your relationship to God, yourself, and others: Ephesians 4:26-32; James 1:19-20; 4:1-10; Proverbs 14:29-30; 15:1, 18;16:32; 19:11, 19; 24:28-29; 25:21-22
