Hymn of Praise  No. 715  Come, Ye Thankful People, Come

*Call to Worship  Ephesians 2; 1 Peter 2

Leader: Remember at one time we were separated from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.
All: But now in Christ Jesus we who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
Leader: For you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
All: Once we were not a people, but now we are the people of God. Once we had not received mercy, but now we have received mercy. Praise be to our God!

*Prayer of Adoration and Lord's Prayer

*Hymn of Praise  My Heart is Filled With Thankfulness(Getty hymn)

Silent Prayers of Praise and Adoration

Prayer of Confession

Leader: Let us come to the Lord in his majesty and mercy, confessing our sins, trusting in his grace for forgiveness and his new life in us.

All: Almighty and Merciful Father, you have called us to be your people and have made us one body. Yet we have not lived like we were one body. We have not loved one another as we ought. Selfish ambition has gripped us and we have failed to look out for others’ interests above our own. Conceit has gripped us and we have failed to associate and care for those who are different from ourselves. We have not treated one another as those in whom Christ dwells. Forgive us for our offenses against you and go on to subdue everything in us which is contrary to your purposes. By the power of your Spirit make us a community which shows forth your acceptance, kindness and love in our relationships. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Hymn of Confession and Trust  Thy Lovely Source of True Delight(Indelible Grace)

Assurance of Pardon

Leader: If you are trusting in Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins and acceptance with God, hear these words of his pardoning grace: Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. - Ephesians 4:32

All: Thanks be to God.
